Description:

It is really unfortunate that there are not many choices for halal Korean food in Seoul. There is Murree Restaurant in Itaewon... and.... ? Well there are also many seafood options but I am sure we all agree that we. must. have. meat.

Fear not! You can have your sizzling, smoking grilled BBQ meat at this restaurant. They use lamb meat imported from Australia so they are Halal. Yeay! Prepare to spend a ~little~ bit extra though. But I'm sure the experience will be well worth it. Price is around 11,000 KRW - 22,000 KRW and the restaurant is open from 3 PM until late. (source 1, source 2)

    1. Hi, I've never tried. But the restaurant advertises itself as halal. If you are still not convinced, then skip it okay? :)

  4. Yup, me & my family had our dinner at Yang Good tonight... location quite easy to find (if you didn't miss any turn la). We tried marinated lamb which was very nice sampai kena repeat order coz my children esp my 5 year old son suka sangat2... harga not bad, kita mkn 2 adults 3 children total 46000won. Owner dia very friendly siap bagi limau pada my children & even help my son with his jacket...Overall, recommended to those yg nk try a 100% korean meal

  6. Who says that just because the meat is from Australia then it is halal. I live in Perth and I don't just buy meat from any butcher. I only buy meat from a halal butcher because not all meat from Australia is halal.

    2. Hi ...
Sorry to say that... In Perth you buy it from a halal butcher...
does he do it really halal ? does he say the words he suppose to ... how do you verify ?
how do you trust him if just advertises it halal...

You just ask the person and based on knowledge that person have about halal and harm, then you decide it and stick to it... and don't if others have there opinion let go on until there comes and evidence clearly stating on way or another.

      What I was explaining is...
Please let's don't say things in hurtful way? specially if are not in that place and never saw things ourselves.

I have been to the place. They only serve halal lamb meat imported Australia (no pork or beef) ... He have the certificate. things are pretty well monitored in a way in Korea... and there are penalties otherwise.

I asked the guy about a noodles dish and he said it is not halal..
So, he knows or have been told clearly by someone about things who have knowledge.

Most of the people who eat there are Korean...
So, speaking in a way ... he actually doesn't need to advertise in a way just to attract one or two Muslim customers.... But occasionally I see Muslims who visit Korea come here to eat..

So, generally speaking... If you see the proof and have evidence ... one can eat... and if someone lied the blame is on the one who lied.

    3. I have visited Korea 2 time & both time I ate at seafood restaurant or just ate bibimbap (vegetable mix rice) &both time was I have people live in Korea brought me there...the only meat I had was chicken &this restaurant is an Indian Muslim restaurant in itaewon...my point is the view of halal food in a non Islamic country is very blur as they only perceive as long its not pork & alcohol,is halal but as a Muslim the process to slaughter the animal is include in determining the meat is halal or not

  10. By any chance anyone can advice if there is anything else on the menu aside from meat (eg. chicken, seadfood). Personally I don't eat red meat but my husband does. We be travelling to Korea soon and I would like to bring him here to try out the BBQ.
