would like to know how is ur review on zaza backpacker? better thn namsan guesthouse?
ReplyDeleteHi dear, I can't review them because I haven't actually stayed there. But you can check reviews on the agoda link I added together. :)
Deleteoh ok. thx. bt do u know whether it's very far away from subway stations? cz from d map usually look very near bt whn u really walk.. it's like hell.. haha.. cz road in seoul mostly is hilly or uphill.. >_<
DeleteThe area around the south of myeongdong is definitely hilly. It is near namsan mountain after all. To know if it is far or not how about you save the guesthouse on your map, and then draw a line from the nearest subway to the saved location. You can see how many meters the distance actually is. DeleteWhen i was in Seoul last few months, i did a tour around myeongdong area, just to see what are other guesthouses nearby namsan guesthouse and i did found zaza backpackers .. it's not far from myeongdong station ... the distance is just about the same as you walk to Namsan 2, Namsan 3 guesthouse ... and definitely not on the hilly side like Namsan 1 guesthouse ... however, the one that i spot is the old building .. i heard they have a new building, which requires a bit of climbing.. but i couldn't find that new building ....
DeleteThank you Azra for the info. I guess if you want to book for Zaza Backpackers you would have to ask them which building are they assigning you.
DeleteAzra, it's very old building that is not acceptable to stay in? i know they have a new building bt from what i heard is further down towards more hilly side >_<
DeleteFadzlin. nw i'm in dilemma whether wanna stay around myeongdong or hongdae area.. myeongdong area is very near to shopping n attractions bt guesthouse abit run down.. :P
while hongdae area, their guesthouse mostly is spacious n nicer.. price wise is almost d same.. bt cons is haf to travel at least 28mins to myeongdeong
It is a dilemma, but it really depends on you. If you just need a place to sleep after a whole day of travelling maybe a small and cheap place can do. But if you also want to cook your own dishes, or do laundry and mingle around with other guests maybe a nicer place will be better. Either way it is a happy dilemma. This is holiday planning after all :D
DeleteFrom the outside, Zaza's older bulding looks OK to me.. doesn't look like a rundown building or anything of sort ...
ReplyDeleteI myself prefer Myeongdong coz i can just drop by for some window shopping after a long tiring day before hitting the sack .. isn't that a bliss (^_^)
how about backpacker inside?who have experience staying there?fyi i'm going to korea this nov and already book the backpacker inside..
ReplyDeleteHi Mazura, I hope someone who has stayed there can give review to you. I saw the website and the rooms look comfortable. But you do know it is quite far from the nearest subway right? It is about 500 meters from Hyehwa Station. Still walkable distance though so maybe you don't mind. :)
